Following the end of the fishing ban, fishermen have returned to the rivers to resume their activities. Throughout the restricted period, a joint task force—comprising the district and upazila administrations, the Department of Fisheries, river police, the Bangladesh Coast Guard, and the district task force—maintained continuous day and night patrols across the 70-kilometer sanctuary zone.
