Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu has confirmed that negotiations for a trade deal between Canada and ASEAN are 90% complete. Speaking to Reuters on the sidelines of a meeting of Southeast Asian economic ministers in Manila, Sidhu expressed optimism regarding the progress.
According to the minister, there is significant momentum from both sides to reach a final agreement. Canada is currently targeting November as the deadline to conclude the ongoing trade discussions.
