According to officials from the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA), the registration of electric vehicles (EVs) in the country commenced in September 2022. Since then, the market has seen a notable rise in sales, with momentum picking up significantly in 2025. Despite this growing interest, the development of essential charging infrastructure and support networks has not kept pace with the rising demand.
