The government has updated the pension regulations for widows of deceased government employees. Under the revised policy, widows who are 50 years of age or older are now exempt from the requirement to submit an annual 'no remarriage' declaration to their respective accounts offices. Previously, all such widows were mandated to provide this documentation every year to maintain their eligibility for pension benefits.
