The government has outlined plans to increase the nation's liquefied natural gas (LNG) import capacity by an additional 1,600 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) by the year 2030. According to the state minister, this expansion will be driven primarily by the development and utilization of terminals located in Maheshkhali and Matarbari.
